Time to cut off your foot
Barry loved to have fun. He was always up for the party and well, even if he sometimes did the wrong thing that was ok- after all, who would know. Like when he went to that party last weekend. He and his wife had not been getting alone all that great and he was feeling kinda lonely. So when Amy gave him a beer and asked him to go back to her place, he agreed. After all, who would know. When his friend Jake dared him to steal that new T.V. left on the loading dock at work, he agreed. When he stold that car to go for a joy ride,he never thought it be his last.
Barry woke up not in the hospital, but in HELL. He was so hot and the fire tormented his eyes.He was in utter darkness, except for the dancing light of the flames. With each flicker, he saw a new horror. The faces in the flames were laughing at him. Always laughing.
" Oh God," Barry cried,"why am i here? Why have You done this to me? I went to church. I paid my tithes. I taught Sunday school. WHY?"
From outta the darkness came a sickning laugh. " God can't help you now. God knows all of the evil you do in secret and he knows your heart. Your heart is a filthy thing and now you belong to me."
So often we think we can hide things from God, but he sees everything that we do. If we are not saved we are doomed like Barry.
Mark 9: 43-48
If your hand causes you to sin,
cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed rather than having two hands, to go to Hell,into the fire that shall never br quiched where their worm does not die and the fire is not quiched.
And if your foot cause you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into Hell, into the fire tha shall never be quiched where their worm does not die and the fire is not quiched.
And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the Kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire where their worm does not die and the fire is not quiched.
If you have sin in your life you must remove it. God can't tolerate iniquity and although the removal of sin maybe painful, God's Kingdom is worth it.
Lord search my heart. Show me my sins and with your grace help me to remove them from my life. Forgive me Lord for the wrongs I have done.
